The message of the cross may seem foolish to the world, but to those who believe, it is God’s power and God’s wisdom. Through Christ crucified, God has made a way to save the lost, heal the broken and welcome the repentant sinner home. Come and hear how the wisdom of God is revealed in Christ—and how His power can transform a life.
“Vancouver, Vancouver, this is it!” — the final words of David Johnston as Mount St. Helens erupted in 1980. The rescue mission could not save him. But God’s rescue mission has succeeded. Through Jesus Christ, God has made a way of escape from the coming wrath. The question is: Will you respond while the rescue is available? This Is It. Jesus is calling. Will you come?
This message confronts the heart with four life-changing questions about Jesus Christ. In a world full of delay and uncertainty, God is calling every soul to recognize who Jesus truly is, realize their desperate need for Him, and fully surrender before it is too late.
We all know what it’s like to be thirsty. In a world constantly offering distractions—money, success, fleeting pleasures—our hearts still ache for true satisfaction. Yet, there is only one source that quenches the soul—Jesus Christ. In His sacrifice on the cross, we find forgiveness, peace, and the living water that never runs dry.
In a world filled with noise, pressure, and constant movement, this preaching invites you to pause and hear the good news. Reading from Psalm 46, it reveals our need for salvation and points to Jesus Christ—who came to save, bring forgiveness, and give new life. See that peace is not found in yourself, but in Christ alone. He is near, He is in control, and through Him, you can be forgiven, restored, and made new.
This message begins with the timeless question: “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?” (Gospel of Mark 4:41). He speaks, and creation obeys. Yet this same Jesus is mocked, scourged, and crowned with thorns. Clothed in purple and hailed as King in ridicule, He stands silent before His accusers. His greatness is not lessened by suffering — it is revealed at Calvary’s cross. What a Saviour!
At the cross, everything Jesus wore was taken from Him — yet in losing His garments, He was clothing sinners in righteousness. The work of Calvary stands complete and sufficient for every soul.
It is the start of a New Year, 2026. This preaching points us to the greatest new beginning of all — the gospel of Jesus Christ — where God offers forgiveness, new life, and a fresh start through the cross and resurrection, calling us to begin this year in faith and obedience to Him.
At the cross, God’s mercy meets the sinner—offering healing, forgiveness, and the gift of new life through Jesus. In this gospel, you’ll encounter a blind man who receives sight and the Good Samaritan, both revealing God’s love and mercy toward us.
