This talk at Refresh 2025 explored how we are made right with God through faith in Jesus. It unpacked the biblical meaning of justification, showing how Christ’s righteousness is credited to us by grace, giving us peace and assurance in our salvation.
In a world filled with uncertainty and turmoil, true peace can feel out of reach. True peace isn’t found in the world but in a restored relationship with God through the work of the Lord Jesus.
This message reflects on the incredible love God has demonstrated toward us. Romans 5:8 shows that even while we were still sinners, Christ died for us — a powerful expression of undeserved grace. In John 15:9, Jesus invites us to abide in the same love the Father has shown Him. John 15:13 then reveals the depth of this love: a willingness to lay down one’s life for friends. The sermon challenges us to embrace this love fully and live in response to the sacrifice made for us.
Salvation from the coming judgement is found in Jesus Christ. Have you come to Him to receive forgiveness for your sins and peace with God?
God’s love is beyond measure! He proved it by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, as our Saviour. Through His life, death, and resurrection, we find redemption, hope, and eternal life.
In the year 2024, God is still speaking to mankind in the Gospel. Many people today may turn away from God’s Word, classing it as not relevant. But God, in His grace and love for mankind, is still speaking. There is a Saviour for sinners, and He is found in the Lord Jesus.
The Gospel proclaims the good news that all who come to Christ receive true peace. Though we have all fallen short of the glory of God through sin, at Calvary’s cross, the Lord Jesus laid down His life to offer forgiveness and peace to those who trust in Him.
In this Gospel preaching you will hear from God’s word about a Warning, an Invitation, and a Promise.
