There are a lot of distractions in the world today that can overtake us. Paul tells us in his letter to the Colossians to set your minds on things that are above where Jesus is.

Romans 7:22-25 “22 For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man:23 but I see another law in my members, warring in opposition to the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which exists in my members.
24 O wretched man that I [am]! who shall deliver me out of this body of death?25 I thank God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then *I* *myself* with the mind serve God’s law; but with the flesh sin’s law.”
Romans 8:1 “There is then now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus.”
Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the compassions of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, [which is] your intelligent service.2 And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of [your] mind, that ye may prove what [is] the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
Colossians 3 3:1-4 If therefore ye have been raised with the Christ, seek the things [which are] above, where the Christ is, sitting at [the] right hand of God:2 have your mind on the things [that are] above, not on the things [that are] on the earth;3 for ye have died, and your life is hid with the Christ in God.4 When the Christ is manifested who [is] our life, then shall *ye* also be manifested with him in glory.
