There is good news for all at Christmas: God has drawn near in Jesus Christ to each one of us, revealing His love and offering salvation.
Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation
Matthew 1:18-22 “18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was thus: His mother, Mary, that is, having been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child of [the] Holy Spirit.19 But Joseph, her husband, being [a] righteous [man], and unwilling to expose her publicly, purposed to have put her away secretly;
20 but while he pondered on these things, behold, an angel of [the] Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, fear not to take to [thee] Mary, thy wife, for that which is begotten in her is of [the] Holy Spirit.21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, for *he* shall save his people from their sins.22 Now all this came to pass that that might be fulfilled which was spoken by [the] Lord, through the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is, being interpreted, ‘God with us.”
Matthew 27-33-36 “33 And having come to a place called Golgotha, which means Place of a skull,
34 they gave to him to drink vinegar mingled with gall; and having tasted [it], he would not drink.35 And having crucified him, they parted his clothes amongst [themselves], casting lots.36 And sitting down, they kept guard over him there.37 And they set up over his head his accusation written: This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
Matthew 28:20 “*I* am with you all the days, until the completion of the age.”
Hebrews 11:6 “6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]. For he that draws near to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them who seek him out.”
