Do you belong to Christ?

Preachers Corner https://www.preacherscorner.org.uk

Do you belong to Christ? That is the searching question at the heart of this gospel preaching. It speaks to the reality that we are not our own—that every soul belongs either to sin or to the Saviour who gave Himself at the cross. With clarity and urgency, the message unfolds God’s kindness and mercy, showing that salvation is not earned, but given through Jesus Christ, who came to seek and to save the lost.

Like the wandering sheep, each one of us has gone astray, yet Christ still seeks, still calls, and still receives sinners. His love is personal, His sacrifice was costly, and His desire is to bring you into the joy of knowing Him.

Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation

Titus 3:4-7But when the kindness and love to man of our Saviour God appeared,not on the principle of works which [have been done] in righteousness which *we* had done, but according to his own mercy he saved us through [the] washing of regeneration and renewal of [the] Holy Spirit,which he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

that, having been justified by *his* grace, we should become heirs according to [the] hope of eternal life.

Luke 15:1-715 And all the tax-gatherers and the sinners were coming near to him to hear him;and the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, This [man] receives sinners and eats with them.And he spoke to them this parable, saying,

What man of you having a hundred sheep, and having lost one of them, does not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness and go after that which is lost, until he find it?and having found it, he lays it upon his own shoulders, rejoicing;and being come to the house, calls together the friends and the neighbours, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my lost sheep.I say unto you, that thus there shall be joy in heaven for one repenting sinner, [more] than for ninety and nine righteous who have no need of repentance.”

1 Samuel 30:11-1311 And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he ate; and they gave him water to drink,12 and gave him a piece of fig-cake and two raisin-cakes, and he ate, and his spirit came again to him; for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water, for three days and three nights.13 And David said to him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant of an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days ago I fell sick.”

1 Samuel 30:1515 And David said to him, Canst thou bring me down to this troop?”

1 Corinthians 6:16 and ye are not your own?20 for ye have been bought with a price: glorify now then God in your body.”
