Why is it whenever we receive good news at school, college or work we love to tell the world. The moment a good achievement comes our way we don’t waste a second to tell our neighbours, friends or family. So why is it when it comes to the Gospel the greatest glorious news in the world we Christians feel ashamed to say anything.

It’s puzzling, isn’t it?

The apostle Peter tells us to always be prepared to give an account of Christ when someone asks of the hope that’s within you.  (1 Peter 3:15) We should be ready for that conversation at any time but the scriptures also tell us to take responsibility in some way to spread the Gospel. Jesus said Go and preach the Gospel and this can be accomplished simply by showing God’s love to mankind.

Jesus Said! “And whosoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones a cup of cold [water] only, in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.” Matthew 10:42

Giving a simple cup of water as an act of kindness or by simply giving a person a Gospel Tract can speak volumes to the soul searching for Jesus.  There is a well-known saying preach the gospel and sometimes use words. If we make ourselves available to the Lord he will make us able.

“for the Holy Spirit shall teach you in the hour itself what should be said.” Luke 12:12

Over 2000 years ago the world said “away with Jesus we will not have him to reign over us” and today mankind reechoes the same old lines. There is still hope God has not neglected mankind instead his love, grace and mercy has been shown to us. While we were selfishly going our own way God sent his son as Saviour of the world. On Calvary’s cross, Jesus suffered for our sins so we might be saved. What a message! Simply tell the world that story and revival may come to our nation once again.

Remember, to tell someone today…
