Always Living to Intercede For Us

Preachers Corner https://www.preacherscorner.org.uk

What a wonderful thought that Jesus is always living to intercede for us. As a Christian, there are times when we feel alone, week or get tired along the pathway. Jesus our great saviour is always living to intercede for us. No matter our failings he is the one who is before God interceding on our behalf. Listen to the following address, to learn more of what the scriptures say about intercession.

Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation

Hebrews 7:25 “Whence also he is able to save completely those who approach by him to God, always living to intercede for them”

Romans 8:26-28And in like manner the Spirit joins also its help to our weakness; for we do not know what we should pray for as is fitting, but the Spirit itself makes intercession with groanings which cannot be uttered. But he who searches the hearts knows what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he intercedes for saints according to God. But we *do* know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to purpose.”

Luke 22:31-32And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded to have you, to sift [you] as wheat; but *I* have besought for thee that thy faith fail not; and *thou*, when once thou hast been restored, confirm thy brethren.”

Genesis 18:31-32And he said, Behold now, I have ventured to speak with the Lord. Perhaps there may be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy [it] for the twenty’s sake. And he said, Oh, let not the Lord be angry, that I speak yet but this time! Perhaps there may be ten found there. And he said, I will not destroy [it] for the ten’s sake.  And Jehovah went away when he had ended speaking to Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.”

1 Timothy 2:1-4I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made for all men; for kings and all that are in dignity, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all piety and gravity; for this is good and acceptable before our Saviour God, who desires that all men should be saved and come to [the] knowledge of [the] truth.”
