The Seven Beatitudes of Revelation

Preachers Corner https://www.preacherscorner.org.uk

If you open your Bible to the book of Revelation you will find there are The Seven Beatitudes of Revelation. Many of us may be aware of the eight Beatitudes in the Gospel of Matthew, but what about the seven in Revelation?

Bible Scriptures: Darby Translation

Revelation 1:1-3Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to shew to his bondmen what must shortly take place; and he signified [it], sending by his angel, to his bondman John, who testified the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ, all things that he saw. Blessed [is] he that reads, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things written in it; for the time [is] near.”

Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying, Write, Blessed the dead who die in [the] Lord from henceforth. Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; for their works follow with them.”

Revelation 16:15 “Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed [is] he that watches and keeps his garments, that he may not walk naked, and that they [may not] see his shame.”

Revelation 19:6-10And I heard as a voice of a great crowd, and as a voice of many waters, and as a voice of strong thunders, saying, Hallelujah, for [the] Lord our God the Almighty has taken to himself kingly power. Let us rejoice and exult, and give him glory; for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife has made herself ready. And it was given to her that she should be clothed in fine linen, bright [and] pure; for the fine linen is the righteousnesses of the saints. And he says to me, Write, Blessed [are] they who are called to the supper of the marriage of the Lamb. And he says to me, These are the true words of God.  And I fell before his feet to do him homage. And he says to me, See [thou do it] not. I am thy fellow-bondman, and [the fellow-bondman] of thy brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Do homage to God. For the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus.”

Revelation 20:6 “Blessed and holy he who has part in the first resurrection: over these the second death has no power; but they shall be priests of God and of the Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

Revelation 22:6-7And he said to me, These words [are] faithful and true; and [the] Lord God of the spirits of the prophets has sent his angel to shew to his bondmen the things which must soon come to pass. And behold, I come quickly. Blessed [is] he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

Revelation 22:14 “Blessed [are] they that wash their robes, that they may have right to the tree of life, and that they should go in by the gates into the city.”
