Preachers Corner https://www.preacherscorner.org.uk

Do you have a living link with the Lord Jesus Christ? The Lord wants the closest walk with you but are you willing to meet with him and spend time in his presence to strength your link with him.

Bible Scriptures:-

Luke 5:1-11And it came to pass, as the crowd pressed on him to hear the word of God, that he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret:and he saw two ships standing by the lake, but the fishermen, having come down from them, were washing their nets. And getting into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, he asked him to draw out a little from the land; and he sat down and taught the crowds out of the ship. But when he ceased speaking, he said to Simon, Draw out into the deep [water] and let down your nets for a haul. And Simon answering said to him, Master, having laboured through the whole night we have taken nothing, but at thy word I will let down the net.And having done this, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes. And their net broke. And they beckoned to their partners who were in the other ship to come and help them, and they came, and filled both the ships, so that they were sinking. But Simon Peter, seeing it, fell at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, Lord. For astonishment had laid hold on him, and on all those who were with him, at the haul of fishes which they had taken;10 and in like manner also on James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, Fear not; henceforth thou shalt be catching men.11 And having run the ships on shore, leaving all they followed him.”

Matthew 14:23-32And having dismissed the crowds, he went up into the mountain apart to pray. And when even was come, he was alone there,24 but the ship was already in the middle of the sea tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.25 But in the fourth watch of the night he went off to them, walking on the sea.26 And the disciples, seeing him walking on the sea, were troubled, saying, It is an apparition. And they cried out through fear.27 But Jesus immediately spoke to them, saying, Take courage; it is *I*: be not afraid.28 And Peter answering him said, Lord, if it be *thou*, command me to come to thee upon the waters.29 And he said, Come. And Peter, having descended from the ship, walked upon the waters to go to Jesus.30 But seeing the wind strong he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, Lord, save me.31 And immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and caught hold of him, and says to him, O thou of little faith, why didst thou doubt?32 And when they had gone up into the ship, the wind fell.”

John 6:66-69From that [time] many of his disciples went away back and walked no more with him.67 Jesus therefore said to the twelve, Will ye also go away?68 Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast words of life eternal;69 and we have believed and known that thou art the holy one of God.”

Luke 22:55-62And they having lit a fire in the midst of the court and sat down together, Peter sat among them.56 And a certain maid, having seen him sitting by the light, and having fixed her eyes upon him, said, And this [man] was with him.57 But he denied [him], saying, Woman, I do not know him.58 And after a short time another seeing him said, And *thou* art of them. But Peter said, Man, I am not.59 And after the lapse of about one hour another stoutly maintained it, saying, In truth this [man] also was with him, for also he is a Galilaean.

60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he was yet speaking, [the] cock crew.61 And the Lord, turning round, looked at Peter; and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he said to him, Before [the] cock crow thou shalt deny me thrice.62 And Peter, going forth without, wept bitterly.”

John 21:15-1715 When therefore they had dined, Jesus says to Simon Peter, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Feed my lambs.16 He says to him again a second time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Shepherd my sheep.17 He says to him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, art thou attached to me? Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, Art thou attached to me? and said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. Jesus says to him, Feed my sheep.”
